Legal & Business Affairs Manager
Sam provides legal advice to every part of the Atlantic Group on a range of core activities. His focus is on licensing and rights arrangements across many categories of media, including television, home video, digital, theatrics, virtual reality, apps, music and books. Sam also gives guidance to development, production and distribution teams on managing risks and compliance.
As part of his role, Sam liaises directly with broadcasters and distributors (both in the UK and internationally) as well as with cultural institutions, museums and various other stakeholders.
Before joining the Atlantic Group, Sam worked as an in-house lawyer at two other international businesses headquartered in the UK. His academic background consists of an MA in Classics from the University of Oxford, then the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, both studied in London. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, he worked as a paralegal and then a trainee at a major City law firm, and in this period he advised a variety of clients including household names in the media, retail and leisure sectors.
