Atlantic Productions is a multi award winning independent factual production company

Founded in 1992 Atlantic is respected for its unparalleled access and world-class story-telling.  Our diverse output includes history, science, natural history, current affairs, observational, music, arts and drama. We have won over 50 international awards, including multiple British Academy Awards and multiple Emmy Awards.

Our work is seen by people in 150 countries across the globe. They include theatrical films, IMAX and immersive experiences. Our diverse output has covered 13 projects with David Attenborough, the acclaimed BBC series Inside the Commons, landmark series The Promised Land created with the BBC and Discovery about the African American migration and the award winning theatrical film The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest. 

Since it’s creation Atlantic Productions has incorporated a group in line with its vision to tell world class stories. This includes Zoo (CGI), Colossus (3D & Theatrical) and Atlantic Immersive (VR, AR, MR & XR) which in 2017 broke new ground with the first ever British Academy award for virtual reality storytelling.

Distribution

Beyond television, Atlantic’s programmes have been distributed in various other mediums, including home entertainment, in flight, and VOD platforms. We have an extensive library of film footage and stills that is available to license for other uses. Atlantic’s archive contains footage filmed in many parts of the world including: Egypt, Greece, Italy, The Holy Land, North America, South America, Europe, Japan.
