David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D and David Attenborough’s Rise of Animals recognised in the Wildscreen Festival’s annual competition

 London. 19 June 2014. Multi-award-winning indie producer, order Atlantic Productions, hospital which creates tent-pole, event-programming in 4k, 3D and 2D, have received a combined seven nominations in this year’s Panda Awards, one of the highest accolades for a filmmaker in the natural history filmmaking industry.

The Atlantic/Sky 3D joint venture, Colossus Productions, scored five nominations for its David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D, which sees the beloved naturalist explore the institution by night and face an array of extinct creatures brought back to life through VFX. The film was nominated for the 3D Award, the Children’s Choice Award, the Music Award, Innovation Award and the Sound Award. The show’s companion app has also been nominated for the New Media Award. This slew of nominations comes after the program was honoured with the prestigious Huw Wheldon Specialist Factual Award at last month’s BAFTAs.

David Attenborough’s Rise of Animals, which traces the story of evolution and ultimate triumph of vertebrates over millions of years, has been nominated for the Series Award. The project, commissioned by the BBC, continues to air around the world to critical acclaim.
